Restored Floral Iron Beds
Iron bed floral designs usually incorporate elements of solid hand-forged iron scrollwork
which can be extensive or minor, and thick-walled tubing combined with
cast floral elements. They often have arch, bow or bow or camel-back tops, rails,
but can also have simple tailored flat tops. The variation of castings
and corner design often produce incredibly unique pieces. The variety of flowers and
leaves used were only limited by the artist's imagination.
This is a gorgeous restored full bed in a wrought iron finish. The circular ironwork
in the cent is accentuated by the scrolling brass tube work. Heavy thick-walled tubes
and generous castings give this bed a heft and solidity highlighting the quality
of its origins.
An excellent, complete full size bed with a combination of elaborate iron scrollwork
and a floral motif. This fully restored bed in antique white combines solid brass finials
and heavy iron castings. Romantic and delicate iron work at its finest.
