Unrestored Simple Iron Beds
Many iron bed rely less on decorative castings and more on precise proportioning
and clean lines. This category includes beds that use solid round bar or thick tube
to define a simple yet elegant presence. Many rely on a series of basic uprights,
while others may use two or three castings to tie together the entire design.
Visually light and fresh, these beds make great additions to a modernist decor and
will work to enhance rather than overwhelm other elements of the room.
Cool 33" iron trundle bed. White paint and slightly odd green painted casting make this
uniques as is or could be refinished. High legs allow for a trundle to roll underneath with
a spare mattress. Good condition in a simple design.
Fire engine red iron trundle bed is slightly askew but all there. A rubber mallet and some
clearcoat and you've got yourself a treasure. High foot will allow roll under trundle unit for
extra sleeping possibilities.
Classic door knob French number in great shape. This 33" iron bed has elegant proportioning
and is pretty straight for it's age. Rusty as all get out, some naval jelly and a coat of paint would
make it a beautiful child's or guest room knockout.
